About these terms
Flared is a placeholder for the legal service operator. The operator’s legal name, address, contact, and governing jurisdiction will be confirmed before launch. These draft terms are not yet the final service agreement.
This website previews the product. It does not currently accept account registrations or payments. Product examples use sample data and do not create working short links.
The service
Flared is being built to create, share, and measure short links through a web app, API, CLI, and local MCP server. You will be able to use the hosted service or deploy the public core in your own Cloudflare account.
The public core is licensed under AGPL-3.0-only. Its repository license governs use of that code. The hosted application and these terms do not alter the core license. Third-party names and logos identify technologies and intended integrations; they do not imply endorsement.
Your account and links
You are responsible for your account credentials, API tokens, destinations, and the content you share. Only connect domains you control. Do not use Flared for phishing, malware, fraud, unlawful material, or attempts to bypass access controls or service limits.
The service may block malicious links or suspend abusive accounts following investigation. Commercial plan limits are separate from abuse controls. The reporting contact and final acceptable-use process will be published before public signup.
Plans and billing
The launch plans are Free and Plus. Plus costs US$15 billed monthly or US$120 billed annually, equivalent to US$10 per month, with applicable taxes shown at checkout. Both billing intervals have the same Plus features and monthly allowances.
Paid subscriptions renew until canceled. Monthly-to-annual changes take effect at the next monthly renewal. Annual-to-monthly changes take effect at the end of the paid year. These switches do not generate mid-period charges or credits. A pending switch can be withdrawn before it takes effect.
Polar handles payments as merchant of record. Its checkout terms also apply to your purchase. No paid checkout is enabled in this preview.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation stops renewal and preserves Plus until the end of the paid period. It does not automatically issue a refund. The refund policy provides a full refund on request within seven days of your first Plus payment, monthly or annual. Later requests are reviewed individually.
Renewals and billing-interval changes do not restart the seven-day guarantee. Billing errors, mandatory rights, and decisions by the merchant of record are handled independently of this discretionary window.
Usage and availability
Recorded-click allowances reset each calendar month in UTC. When an analytics allowance is exhausted, links continue redirecting while additional clicks stop being recorded. Upgrading resumes recording but cannot reconstruct unrecorded traffic.
On downgrade, existing links and verified domains continue working, while creation above Free limits is blocked. Older history has a 30-day export grace period. The service does not promise unlimited traffic, perfect bot detection, or an uptime SLA.
Link changes have a planned propagation bound of 60 seconds after the routing update commits. Analytics is asynchronous and may be delayed or incomplete. Performance and availability targets still require validation before launch.
Deletion, changes, and legal details
Account deletion removes tenant data through the documented deletion process. Short-link namespace reservations remain so deleted addresses cannot be reused. Self-hosted operators control their own infrastructure, upgrades, and recovery.
Final provisions on liability, disputes, governing law, notice, and changes to these terms require the confirmed legal operator and review before publication. Contact details are not yet configured.
